Bio| Robin Grudzinski

Entrepreneur, creative soul, founder of The Designest, and soccer mom, Robin Grudzinski is always finding new creative hobbies to explore. Before having children, she didn’t think a creative life was in her future.

In college she earned a degree in business and accounting and after graduation started working in the finance industry with jobs in the finance and insurance world. When a business merger & layoff coincided with the birth of her second daughter, she took some time to re-evaluate what kind of career she wanted.

As someone who always loved school, she enrolled in the kinds of classes she never took in college – the arts. From there her love of design grew and she discovered that in addition to having a head for business, she was also good at things like putting colors, textures, and patterns together.

Her talents naturally came together to form her own creative business, an online gift shop and blog, The Designest. Getting crafty is what it’s all about. From making and sewing, to painting, graphic design, pattern design, furniture makeovers, up cycling, quilting, and pretty much any kind of creative project.  Every day is different and challenging and she loves it.
